Coidea LED Disco Lights Review

Coidea LED Disco Lights Review

Coidea kindly sent this out to me in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. I always strive to include information that a customer would find useful in order for them to decide whether or not the product is suitable for them.
Recently, I have been sent many LED products to review. As such, here is one of them. The strobe lights haven’t found any real purpose for me, however the lights are very bright when they shine on the ceiling,  and they rotate, so the pattern isn’t always in the same place. One gripe I had with this product is that the remote doesn’t work at all, which means I can only display the stock settings of the lights, which for me is a major step back. Hopefully, this is just a faulty remote, and not that every remote is affected.

In The Box

Unboxing the lights, there are quite a few things. Firstly, you have the sheet with all of the programmable buttons, a stand to mount the lights on and angle the lights in a certain direction, screws to put them in place, and finally the faulty remote. Like I mentioned previously, this shouldn’t be a consistent problem in every set of lights.  When I received the box I wasn’t convinced that this was going to be a half decent product, as the packaging looks a bit cheap and basic.img_0336

The Lights

They shine very brightly, and it makes a nice pattern on the ceiling. The motors inside the lights rotate, resulting in the pattern spinning slowly. However, for me, it is stuck on the stock preset, which really takes away from my user experience. It would be nice however, to not just have Red, Blue And Green as the only colours they display. Although, this product is priced at £9.99, so if you could have a 44 key remote, it would have to cost more money, but I would have preferred it that way. The lights display 7 colours, which can be shown in the diagram below.

Availability And Specifications

These lights are available for £9.99, and is unfortunately not available anywhere else. You can purchase them from here;

Specifications for the product are as follows:

Pros And Cons

  • Handle to easily carry anywhere
  • Affordable
  • Comes with remote to control
  • Lights shine beautifully on ceiling

  • The remote doesn’t function for me
  • There are only a total of 7 colours, which are only a combination of Red, green and blue
  • The cable is quite short

Final Verdict

To conclude, for £9.99, you are getting a very good package if everything functioned properly. However, the remote not working seriously impacts the user experience, so I can’t unfortunately recommend this to you. I will update this review, if the seller decides to contact me about the problem or not. Besides that issue, the lights shine nice and bright, and if you like to create a disco environment, then if I were you I would seriously consider this product.
