RavPower 22000 External Battery Review

RavPower 22000 External Battery Review

Summary

22000mah. Ravpower claim that you can get 9 charges out of an iPhone 6s, and their claim has held true. With 3 iSmart charging ports, 2.4A each, with a total of 5,8A all for under £30, you can’t go wrong. If you are looking for a high mAh rating with fast charge this is for you. The most amazing thing about this external battery is that it recognizes when your phone is fully charged and makes sure you’re phone doesn’t overcharge, which is just mindblowing. This product doesn’t fail to amaze. The RAVPower measures in at 120 x 68 x 23mm and weighs 381g.

In the Box

You get a variety of accessories in the box, which is great. There is a nice pouch to put your battery in to help protect it, which is a bonus. You are provided with two Micro-USB cables, and the external battery charges via Micro-USB.  There seems to be a teal and white colour scheme running throughout the box. The carrying pouch can be tied up, and features a mesh cover as you can see from the picture below. The battery is matte and doesn’t really display any fingerprints of sorts.

Testing

Now time for the testing. RavPower promised 9 charges out of an iPhone 6s, and I managed to get 10. The iSmart ports are monumental, and completely blew my expectations out of the water. The ports recognise when your phone is at 100% and then prevents your phone from overcharging. The ports also are able to detect the maximum amperage that your phone can handle, so anybody that wants fast charge for their Qualcomm fast charge phone, RavPower have you covered. Typically, I’m guessing that wouldn’t need more than 2.4 Amps to charge your phone.

After 10 days of testing, I have to say, RavPower have really got the platinum medal, and this is a very dependable and innovative charger. I charged this fully overnight, and it took around 10 hours to charge, which is expected due to the very high mAh rating. I was able to keep my phone out of the AC for around 9 days. Every single time, the charger knew when my phone was fully charged, and consequently saved my phone from overcharging and preventing the external battery from giving my phone too much juice. It would have been nice to add a built in cable so you don’t have to think about bringing your cables with you.

Your phone by the way:
